Attached below are this week’s water level summaries from the US Army Corps of Engineers. Their full report can be found at http://www.lre.usace.army.mil/Missions/GreatLakesInformation/GreatLakesWaterLevels/WaterLevelForecast/WeeklyGreatLakesWaterLevels.aspx.
Thanks to some wet weather Lakes Michigan-Huron (of which Georgian Bay is part) has rebounded a little since last week and now is flat over the past month. The drop this fall continues to be much less than last fall. As a result we are 11 inches ahead of this date last year.
Michigan-Huron level continues to underperform the other lakes based on long term averages and continue to be 16 inches below its long term average.
GBA will continue to press for action to address what is clearly a Middle Lakes challenge.
